PREDICTION
In the last few years, Burundi have shown themselves to be quite entertaining and that came across in their opening game of the 2025 CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign. Burundi defeated Malawi by three goals to two with a late 87th minute winner in that topsy turvy encounter. They now face a Senegalese side that, under the management of former Birmingham City and Portsmouth manager Aliou Cisse, have been one of the strongest sides in Africa ever since his appointment back in 2015. There is a fear they may become stale and too loyal to the ‘big guns’ but remain favourites for this one in what could be quite an entertaining encounter.
